Terms of Service

These terms cover your institute's use of VILMS. They are between your institute (“you”) and VILMS (“we”). They are not the terms between you and your students — those are yours to set, and we give you a template inside the product to start from.

What we provide

A hosted platform for running your institute: courses, live classes, study material, tests and evaluation, a lead pipeline, and a website under your own brand and domain. We keep it running, secure it, back it up and improve it.

Your account

• You are responsible for what your staff do in your account, and for keeping sign-in access secure.
• You must be entitled to publish the content you upload, and it must be lawful in India.
• You must not use VILMS to resell hosting to other institutes, or as general file storage.

Your content and your data belong to you

Everything you put into VILMS — courses, recordings, student records, question banks — remains yours. We store and process it to run the service for you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not use it to train models, and we do not use your student list for our own marketing.

You can export your students, enrolments and orders to CSV at any time, including after you cancel. If you need a full export of course content, ask and we will help.

Money

• Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Usage beyond your plan's allowances is billed as set out in the Usage & Fair Use policy, which forms part of these terms.
• We never take a percentage of your fee income. Your students pay into your own payment account. That money never passes through us and we could not take a cut of it even if we wanted to.
• All prices exclude GST, which is added at the prevailing rate.
• We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change, and it applies from your next billing period.

Trials and cancellation

Trials are free and require no card. Adding a payment method during a trial does not charge you — the first charge falls at the end of the trial, and cancelling before then means you are never charged at all.

You can cancel whenever you like. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep full access to the end of the period you have already paid for. See Refunds & Cancellation.

Things you connect yourself

VILMS is built so you bring your own accounts for payments (Razorpay), WhatsApp, AI and email. Those relationships are between you and those providers, on their terms and at their prices. We never see or hold your students' card details.

Uptime and support

We aim for continuous availability and will tell you about planned maintenance in advance. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee on self-serve plans; Enterprise agreements can include one. Support is by email at hello@vilms.in.

Ending the agreement

You may leave at any time. We may end an account for non-payment after notice and a reasonable chance to fix it, or immediately for unlawful use or activity that threatens other institutes' service. If we end your account for anything other than unlawful use, we will give you a fair window to export your data first.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in India having jurisdiction.
